BHS Development
Redevelopment of BHS on the corner of The Parade and Bridge Street will include the demolition of the existing building and replacing it with a larger structure which will extend onto King Street and John Street car park.
The proposed new development will see a repositioned BHS store, which will comprise two trading floors, and a third level providing a total of 4105 sq m of floor space. The BHS store will move further down the parade towards Debenhams, creating space for an additional six retail units, which will range in size between 280 sq m and 920 sq m of floor space.
All seven units will have entrances fronting onto 'The Parade' with large display windows replacing the current entrance to the BHS store along Bridge Street. the design will be of a contemporary style with large areas of glazing, metal cladding and stone/reconstituted stone cladding.
Construction will start early in 2010 and continue through to Spring 2011.
