Project objectives
The following project objectives have been established for the Swindon Central regeneration area.
- Create a vibrant railway frontage that offers an impressive gateway to the town and a positive image for Swindon
- Improve pedestrian and cycle access from one side of the railway to the other
- Improve access for rail travellers by upgrading the main town centre station access and opening up a new entrance in North Star with associated bus and taxi facilities
- Provide better and more accessible rail-commuter car parking in North Star
