Project objectives

The following project objectives have been established for the Swindon Central regeneration area.

Create a vibrant railway frontage that offers an impressive gateway to the town and a positive image for Swindon
Improve pedestrian and cycle access from one side of the railway to the other
Improve access for rail travellers by upgrading the main town centre station access and opening up a new entrance in North Star with associated bus and taxi facilities
Provide better and more accessible rail-commuter car parking in North Star
