Retail and Leisure
- Retail and leisure uses interspersed throughout the project area creating vibrancy and activity, and providing better facilities for travellers
Commercial
- Provision for around 15,000 sq m of prime office space visible from the railway, extending Swindon's office core northwards
Residential
- Some 400 new homes to provide the opportunity for people to live in the centre with easy access to excellent transport, retail and leisure facilities
Urban Design and Movement
- Parking for some 1,000 vehicles in multi–storey facilities north of the railway
- New station entrance in North Star with taxi ranks and bus stops
- A new town centre station entrance area that creates a positive sense of arrival in Swindon with improved bus and taxi facilities
- Station subway extended from the south to the north of the railway
- A crossing linking the new multi–storey car park in the north through to the station and the town
- Shortened subway under the railway to North Star with environmental improvements
including new public space at the town centre entrance
