Recruitment for New Chief Executive for Swindon Economic Development Company

Plans for the establishment of a new company for the delivery of economic development, inward investment, place marketing, culture and regeneration are gathering momentum with the hunt for a new Chief Executive kicking off this weekend with adverts being placed in the Sunday Times and Municipal Journal.

Last November Swindon Borough Council announced plans for a merger of The New Swindon Company, the Economic Development Department at SBC and The Cultural Partnership into a new company which will drive the Councils plans to improve the quality of life for all people in Swindon. The enlarged company will support the development of a dynamic and thriving Borough by stimulating business innovation, learning, regeneration and investment.

Roderick Bluh, Leader of Swindon Borough Council is keen that the role attracts the highest level of candidates, “This is an exciting opportunity to lead and direct the regeneration and transition of Swindon, placing it on the national and international stage as a location open to inward investment.
