The New Swindon Company announces appointment of Chief Executive

The New Swindon Company has appointed Peter James as its new Chief Executive. He will be taking up the post in October 2005.

With extensive experience in regeneration and commercial property development, Peter James joins the company from Tees Valley Regeneration where he has been Director of Development since 2003. During his career, Peter has worked in both UK and France and has been responsible for delivering large scale developments and his portfolio has included io Developments, Arlington Securities and Wimpey Property Holdings.

John Cullum, Chairman of The New Swindon Company, said, "The company's board is delighted that Peter is joining us to drive through the implementation of the Regeneration Framework with the seven major regeneration projects that were announced last year. He brings with him a wealth of regeneration and property experience which will be invaluable as we move forward on significant town centre projects."
