The New Swindon Company strengthens community focus

As part of its ongoing commitment to continue to involve voluntary and community organizations in the regeneration of the town centre, The New Swindon Company has announced that Sarah Bush will be working with the company in the role of Voluntary and Community Organisations Liaison.

Sarah has lived, worked and raised a family in Swindon. She has been actively involved in the community for a number of years and is also a member of the Swindon Strategic Partnership Board. In this latter role, she has worked with local communities to develop the Community Strategy for Swindon.

"Swindon has an extensive range and network of interest groups and we are keen to strengthen our communication links with people that represent the views of cross-sections of the town's residents," commented Peter Andrews, chief executive of The New Swindon Company. "Communicating regularly with key local community and voluntary groups is an important component to encouraging participation in revitalizing the town centre. Sarah's experience will be invaluable in improving local communication links and we are delighted to have her support."

Sarah Bush added, "I have a keen personal and professional interest in the regeneration of central Swindon, which I believe can have considerable knock-on benefits for the whole of the Borough. I am looking forward to working with both The New Swindon Company and the voluntary and community organizations in the area to help deliver a town we can all be proud of."
