Road and Rail Connections

Swindon has an excellent communications and transport infrastructure. The M4 lies to the South of the town where rapid access can be gained to the town centre and business parks via two junctions. To the North there is good access to the M5 via the A419 which also links to the major industrial areas of Swindon. There is a modern road network around the town with extensive parking facilities.

Situated on the main London to Wales and the West rail line, rail travel could not be easier. London Paddington is under an hour away with four trains every hour and Bristol is 40 minutes away with two trains an hour.

Road travel to Heathrow is extremely quick along the M4. The airports at Bristol and Southampton, the docks at Avonmouth (Bristol), Southampton and Cardiff are also within easy reach.

Freight Transport

Swindon has a well-developed orbital route for transport of freight by road providing good access to business and industrial parks. Keypoint, an intermodal rail terminal close to the A419 and adjacent to the main London/Bristol link provides facilities for the direct transfer of freight from road to rail.
